Yesterday’s failures are today’s
lessons. In the long run, the recipients of these are us. It is maybe a mishap
or misfortune. Sometimes, it would probably be a destiny or a mere
tragedy. Life is yesterday, today, and
tomorrow’s summation. By the same token, it is what we did, what we are doing
at this very moment, and what we’ve got to do next in line.
Not
different from every God’s creation, I have experienced hardships too. Those
were excruciating. I felt the agony
being embittered and cast off by someone whom I thought was a blessing in
disguise. Those were the chances when the only one I could turn to is the
person in the mirror—me. Now, who
wouldn’t be so glad to know that I passed it all? Yes, I survived. I moved on.
It was hard, though. Yet, if I would be a grantee of an opportunity wherein I
can scrub out those unwanted parts of my life, still, I wouldn’t say “yes” for
that. I’ll refuse, instead.
The
world is turning. It is never ending. Whatever life brought us before; we
should always have these wide opened arms to embrace it. Unlike with the
computer’s keyboard, life has no CTRl+Z or Undo. Cherish every undertaking in
the past because life has its own twists and turns.
Admit
it, yesterday wasn’t covered with blankets alone. For every life’s bitterness,
there is always this sweetness that awaits. Moments, actually happened for a
reason. We can be blissful because we are the pilots of our own flights. In
fact, everyone is blessed. So why be so stressed? Well, I never regret the
times when I held those thorns of roses. My heart bled but is now cured. My
heart broke but is now mended. I was once poignant but afterwards I felt
relieved. I was enlightened by the thought that the only constant in this big
thing called earth is CHANGE. In reality, when someone falls or is dumped into
frustrations, he or she would later on be filled with enthusiasm to stand up
and would cheer for a new beginning.
Our
past is irrevocable. It is part of our growing years. And it is not enough to
stay stuck in an elevator or be stranded in an island nowhere. There is always
a way. Let us not mind impossibilities, it will just lead us to disappointments
or sufferings, we have to do something about it.
I
have read this letter from a friend, it says, “Dear Problems, I want you to
know that my God is bigger than you. If you crashed my moment yesterday, face
me today and be scared!”, ridiculously true. The addressee might be impossible
to find but it inspires me to think that I can face everything with the
continuous guidance and unconditional love of our Divine Providence—God. So, as
cliché as it may seemed, never lose hope! Give a toast for yesterday for it
completes you today!
